hepa filter cleaning

Open the Dust Cup

The first thing you need to do is open the dust cup on your cleaner. To do that, push the button on the back and allow the dust cup to detach. It will come off of the back of your hand unit.

Take Out the Filter

Once the dust cup, which catches much of the dust and dirt, is off, look inside and you will see the HEPA filter. Reach in and pull out the filter for cleaning, pull gently and it will come out fairly easily.

Empty the Dust Cup

Before moving on the the HEPA filter on your silent ultra Super Shark vacuum Euro-Pro hv122, go ahead and empty the dust cup into your garbage can. A word of advice, empty it into an outdoor garbage can to prevent dust from going airborne and ending up back on your carpet.

Remove Debris Screen

With your HEPA filter, remove the debris screen for cleaning. Do this by taking hold of the debris screen with one hand and your filter’s frame with the other. Pull firmly and they should come apart.

Tap Clean

Take your HEPA dust cup filter and find a hard surface. The side of an outdoor trash can or other had container will work well. Tap the surface with the filter until you see no more dust falling out from between the pleats of your HEPA filter. This means you have gotten most if not all the debris out.

Clean Debris Screen

Next, take the debris screen and tap it clean as well. You can also rinse it under water to get a more thorough clean. However, be aware that the debris screen on your silent ultra Super Shark vacuum Euro-Pro hv122 must be completely dry before you put it back in.

Finally – Put Your Silent Ultra Super Shark Vacuum Euro-Pro hv122 Back Together
Next, once everything is dry, put it all back together. Put the screen and filter together. Put them inside the vacuum and the dust cup back on. You will be ready to vacuum again with a clean filter.
